Programs & Features

Core

Core is your entry point into FRS and its extensive applications. With Core, you download and access FRS right on your desktop – with the following features:

  • A custom Excel input spreadsheet for uploading up to 20 years of financial data on your company, your units, your acquisition targets.
  • A “treatment” command center where you tell FRS how you want raw financial data to be transformed, for instance, by deducting the full cost of capital, by capitalizing leases, intangible spending, and restructuring charges, by smoothing taxes, and by reversing pension distortions, among many other things.
  • Over 50 standard reports and charts, plus the ability to develop, store and retrieve your own custom report and chart templates by selecting among the available 2700 output lines that span the gamut of performance, risk and value insights
  • What-if – a simulation model where you enter 2 to 20 key “EVA Drivers” and interactively examine the impact on key metrics and value
  • Value – a module where you upload and value a specific financial forecast for a company, a unit, a project, or an acquisition target – using both the discounted cash flow and discounted EVA methods

Prime

Prime takes you a big step towards realizing the full power of FRS, because it provides on-going quarterly access to 400 key indicators covering 60 sectors and market spanning indices, enabling you to:

  • Spot genuine strengths and weaknesses, and set goals, by comparing and charting internal units against the results registered by public peers in terms of any of the 400 KPIs
  • Put historical performance and valuation multiples in context when using the What-If and Value modules
  • Add “Model Value” – a module that automatically estimates the if-public, intrinsic market value of private companies and business units by statistically comparing 7 performance factors with those of public companies in the KPI database. Recreate up to 60 quarters of trailing financial history to plot the evolution of value over time and in relation to invested capital and public peers.
  • Add the Aggregator – a module for congregating internal business units into custom benchmark groups that can serve as reference points for judging and comparing unit performance

Precision

Precision gives you the ultimate in accuracy and flexibility, Precision enhances Prime with daily downloads of the 400 KPI statistics on each of the Russell 3000 public companies, plus the sector and market aggregates. Now you can use the Aggregator to create your own custom groups of public peer companies for purposes of benchmarking, valuation modeling, and target setting.
