Bennett Stewart
Chief Executive Officer
Bennett Stewart was a co-founder with Joel Stern in 1982 of Stern Stewart & Co., the global consulting firm that pioneered the development and corporate applications of the EVA financial management framework. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of EVA Dimensions, a firm he formed in March 2006 to acquire the EVA brand and related technologies to provide services in the fields of financial benchmark data, performance management and valuation software, and investment research and funds management.
Mr. Stewart is the author of The Quest for Value, which is regarded as the definitive guide to the EVA (“economic value added”) financial management and incentive compensation framework now employed at over 350 companies worldwide. He has also published numerous articles on corporate financial management and lectured widely in his 30 year professional career, where he frequently garners the top rating among conference speakers.
Mr. Stewart is a Cum Laude graduate of Princeton University with a degree in electrical engineering in 1974 and holds a 1976 MBA degree from the University Of Chicago Graduate School Of Business.
Ling Yang
Director of Research and Product Development
Before co-founding EVA Dimensions with Bennett Stewart, Ling was the Stern Stewart vice president in charge of developing and supporting the EVAntage data base and PRVit stock rating model. Prior to her focus on EVA analytics, Ms. Yang also worked at Stern Stewart designing and implementing EVA management and incentive programs for companies in the energy, automobile, and food and beverage sectors. Before moving to the U.S., Ms. Yang was employed by Shell in China and Hong Kong, where she coordinated project development in exploration, production, and marketing of oil and gas products.
Ms. Yang holds a B.E. in industrial management from Jiaotong University in China, and earned an MBA with concentrations in accounting and finance from Vanderbilt Graduate School of Business. She is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and the Association for Investment Management and Research.
Al Ehrbar
President and Chief Executive Officer of EVA Advisers
Prior to forming EVA Advisers, Al was a partner at Stern Stewart & Co. and head of BrandEconomics LLC, a Stern Stewart subsidiary that created the first wholly objective methodology for valuing brands and modeling the impact of brand strategies on business value.
Before joining Stern Stewart in 1995, Mr. Ehrbar spent more than 20 years as one of the most prominent business and financial journalists in the U.S. He was the youngest person ever elected to FORTUNE magazine’s Board of Editors and was the first to write about many of the breakthroughs in modern portfolio theory. A June 1976 article, “Index Funds—An Idea Whose Time is Coming,” prompted a 10-fold increase in the assets invested in index funds in less than a year and was a catalyst to John Bogle’s creation of the Vanguard 500 Index Fund.
He has an MBA in finance and economics from the University of Rochester and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism from Northwestern University.
Alan Slatas
VP Business Development
Alan Slatas has 20 years of experience working with senior Executives in major corporations. In Alan’s career he has worked with the Balanced Scorecard as Regional Vice President Business Development, he served as founder and vice president of business development at Next Economy Partners, an emerging technology research firm. Prior to that, at Gartner Group, Alan worked with the largest technology vendors as senior director of integrated solutions, developing customized consulting services to drive the vendors into new business development initiatives.
Alan received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Economics from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
Meghan Van Dusen Spear
Vice President, Investor Sales & Marketing
Meghan joined EVA Dimensions LLC in January of 2009 to serve as the Business Development Manager of EVA Dimensions’ Investor Services. Meghan oversees the sales and marketing of the Financial Radar Screen software and the PRVit Investment Research and Screening tool to the investment community.
Meghan has more than ten years of experience working in the financial industry in sales and marketing roles at firms such as Capital IQ, Jefferies & Company, and Lee Munder Capital Group. Most recently at Capital IQ, Meghan worked with an array of investment banks, mutual funds, hedge funds, and private equity and venture firms.
Meghan received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Emerson College in Boston. She is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.
